On the designated Padlet, create one post responding to the prompts listed. Then, read and comment on at least 2 peers' posts.
This short quiz is hosted in Brightspace and is based on lecture slides in the Welcome Module, and must be completed by September 7th, 2025.
The quiz ensures everyone is familiar with Brock's Academic Integrity Policies, our AI policy, and all the resources available.
We would like to start the course by getting to know your research topic and planned pathway.
This form will ask questions about your planned project.
Please complete the form here - only 1 response allowed per person.
Chapters are what make up your Capstone project, with each describing different parts of your study.
Chapter drafts are required so that you have a chance to receive feedback from their advisor to ensure their study is being conducted accurately and professionally. This feedback is to be used to complete your proposal and final capstone paper.
Each chapter outline has a corresponding 'Outline of Criteria':
Your proposal is a cohesive, and revised version that collates Chapters 1, 2, and 3. You will expand upon what was written in each draft, to ensure you meet the minimum page limit. It is important to use track changes to make any revisions with careful consideration to all feedback received from your draft submissions.
The Micro Viva is a short, 1 on 1 between you and your instructor, designed to give you the opportunity to discuss and reflect on your study thus far. This meeting allows you to explain your work, & demonstrate your understanding of your study.
Your final capstone paper is a cohesive, and revised version that collates all chapters. It is important to use track changes to make any revisions with careful consideration to all feedback received from your draft submissions.
Evaluation criteria for the final capstone paper can be found here.
Your final capstone task is to transform your research findings into a public-facing Knowledge Mobilization (KMb) output that makes your study accessible and meaningful to a broader audience. This is your opportunity to translate scholarly work into something impactful and engaging beyond the academic paper.
The project has 3 components:
KMb Explainer Video,
KMb Product (Digital Media), and
Padlet Reflection.
